The Research Process

Choosing a Topic
Choose a topic and narrow its scope until it is properly refined - for example:
Too broad: Unemployment
Slightly less broad: Unemployment in the United States
A little better: Unemployment in the United States in the 21st Century
Properly Refined Topic: Effects of Unemployment on College Graduates in the United States in the 21st Century
